First and foremost, did you think you deserved to be dumped? Let me give you a few example, your boyfriend found out you were cheating, you took him for granted for too long, and so on. Unless you made a real big mistake that you know for a fact it was the reason for the breakup, you have to understand that you getting dumped does not mean that you were at fault.

I know that you can’t see things my way at the moment, but imagine for a minute that your boyfriend does not deserve you. You may not have been a perfect girlfriend, but you know and everyone that knows you knows that you were a good girlfriend. If that were the case, do you really want him back? I mean, does he really deserve a girlfriend as good as you?

There is no shame in missing someone who dumped you and there certainly is no shame in loving that same person. There are no on and off switch for people’s feelings and the lights in our hearts take a while to dim after shining bright for so long. If you can wait a little, just be patient, the light in your heart will dim one day and you will be able to shine it upon someone else who really loves you.

In terms of the ratio for the breakups that can be reversed, I think it’s close to a coin flip. Every relationship is unique and the reasons for the breakups are unique. It would be impossible to say that you could or that couldn’t get back with your boyfriend. But going back to the coin flip, yeah, your chance of getting back with him is better than you think.

I want you to understand that getting your boyfriend back could mean losing a lot of things that are important to you. It may have a happy ending, but at the same token you might have to give a backseat to your pride. There are consequences to our every action and sometimes they are not so pleasant.
