Because every situation is different, I try to give different advices depending on the situation that I create on my articles. Let’s divide this into two different scenarios, one in which your ex started dating someone new not long after the break up and the second situation being long after the break up.

Let’s look at the first scenario in which your ex started dating not long after the break up. This could mean that your boyfriend or girlfriend felt very liberated by the break up, quite simply they feel very happy about the breakup. However, it could also mean that the person he or she is dating is just a rebound date. If you ex was desperately hoping to break up with you, this will further complicate things which will mean more work for you.

But what if your ex was in need of a rebound boyfriend or girlfriend? This is good for you and you probably should not interfere with this process as you could inject some passion where there was none. Imagine this, an ex-boyfriend or an ex-girlfriend gets in the middle of a casual relationship. What do you think happens? You’ve just given your ex and the rebound a little drama, the passion that the two lacked. Needless to say you could say goodbye to your chance to getting your ex back.

To get your ex back in the first scenario, not only will you have to work hard to bring about some significant positive changes in you, but it will also require that you have a keen sense of timing. You wait too long and your ex moves on without you completely with or without the rebound. You’ve left your ex on his or her own for too long and you might have given them the time needed to move on. But if you appeal to your ex again the heart will remember, what the brain so hard tried to suppress, your ex’s heart will remind them why it took so long for them to start dating again. I strongly believe that you are in a better place than you’d be in the first case scenario.

Make the necessary changes and don’t hesitate to compromise on the matters that are important to your ex. Once your ex falls in love with you again, you will be able to revert some of those compromises because your ex will understand that you had to go far and beyond to get him or her back. For now, concentrate on getting your ex back and just do the things necessary to accomplish that.
